Setup your Satochip with BitcoinKeeper

1. Download BitcoinKeeper

Download the latest BitcoinKeeper mobile app. Satochip hardware wallet is natively supported by BitcoinKeeper since v2.5.9.

If your Satochip hardware wallet is already initialized (with a PIN code and a seedphrase), go to Step 4.

Open the BitcoinKeeper app and go to the “Keys” menu. Click on “Add key”. Then on “Add key from a hardware”.
Select “Satochip” in the list. And click on “Proceed”.
Click on “Setup options” then on “Setup a new SATOCHIP card”.
Enter and confirm your personal PIN code to secure access to your Satochip. Then click “Continue”.
Scan your Satochip hardware wallet with your phone and keep it in place until the operation is complete.

Congratulations! Your Satochip hardware wallet is now initialized with your personal PIN code.

Now that your Satochip hardware wallet has a PIN code, we can seed it with your existing seedphrase.

Enter your personal PIN code and click on “Setup Options”.
Click on “Import BIP39 Seed” and click on “Continue“.
Select your recovery seedphrase by entering each words in the right order. Then click on “Next“.
You can now import your seedphrase in your Satochip hardware wallet. Click on “Import seed”.
Scan your Satochip hardware wallet with your phone and keep it in place until the operation is complete.

Congratulations! Your Satochip hardware wallet is now fully initialized and ready to be used.

The goal here is to add your freshly initialized Satochip hardware wallet to the keystore of BitcoinKeeper.

Open the BitcoinKeeper app and go to the “Keys” menu. Click on “Add key”. Then on “Add key from a hardware”.
Select “Satochip” in the list. And click on “Proceed”.
Enter your personal PIN code and click on “Proceed“.
Scan your Satochip hardware wallet with your phone and keep it in place until the operation is complete.

Congratulations! Your Satochip hardware wallet has been added in the BitcoinKeeper keystore.

Open the BitcoinKeeper app click on “Add wallet”.
Select “Bitcoin” in the list.
Then click on “Create Wallet“.
For a standard Bitcoin wallet secured by your Satochip hardware wallet, click on “Single-key“.
Then select your Satochip hardware wallet in the list and click on “Proceed“.
Give a friendly name to you Bitcoin wallet and click on “Create Your Wallet“.

Congratulations! You have now a fully functional Bitcoin Wallet secured by your Satochip hardware wallet.

Whenever you want to send a transaction, the BitcoinKeeper app will ask you to scan your Satochip on your phone.
